Alrighty then! So as you all had better know by now, Wesley and I are getting married. Yay!!!!!! Therefore, I am moving from this blog to a new one that will eventually become our family blog. It is codenamed pbjanderson.blogspot.com. Add us in as your new friend!!! my old blog will just fall by the wayside, I'm not sure how to delete it.

Here it is you guys! The post you've all been waiting for! Wesley proposed on Friday the 4th, and I thought I'd share pics. This post is for my moms and sisters.... I am so stinkin' happy I could just explode! I love that boy and am so excited to be getting married to him. Now the craziness really begins... =D
Hahaha! My ring is currently residing on my pinkie finger as it does not fit my ring finger. sad face. =( but we'll fix that at Christmas.... I'm such a lucky girl....

i found this little table at d.i. it's varnish was all warped and messed up on the top, so i took a few hours and hand sanded the whole thing. my hands were looking alot like hamburger by the end, but it was worth it. i love it! i also got myself a fish. His name is Squiggles. He loves my roommate Tara, and hates me. oh well! i still like him. =D

Going Home

This morning when I left class, I needed to get quarters for laundry and some gas money. I ended up here. I have no idea why. I think this was my Heavenly Father’s way of calling me to him. The temple has always had the most special of places in my heart, and I can still remember parts of the day my family was sealed in the temple when I was 2. I got to the temple this morning, and I felt so ridiculous. I wasn’t dressed right and I felt so out of place. But as I walked to the front gate and placed my hand on the cool, stone walls of that holy place, I felt like I was home for the first time. I have never felt such a love and a longing to be somewhere in my entire life. Right then and there I got a strong urge to kneel and speak with my Father. Tears filled my eyes as I poured out my heart to the only one who can hear my truest hopes. I know my father lives. I know He loves me, as He loves all of His children. In a world that is so increasingly base and evil, He is the lighthouse on the beach – forever beckoning us home. I know He listens to my prayers, however foolish I may be. He sacrificed His Son so that we may all be redeemed from the bondage of sin. I am so grateful for the family I was born into, for the trials and experiences we have had together. There have been many, and they have been rough. But I don’t regret a single one. I love my Heavenly Father and His son Jesus Christ more than I can express. I know I can and will live worthy to go into His temple and be sealed for Time and all Eternity. I am going home.

So a couple of weeks ago, Wesley was sweet enough to drive with me from California to Idaho so that I could come and finish school and such. Can I just blab for a second how amazing this man is? First of all, he forsook his own napping in order to talk to me to keep me awake while I drove for 15 hours. Then, when we were in Utah, we hit this freak monsoon and he helped me to keep my head and not freak out. I think he was afraid of dying, and I was hyperventilating and bawling =) hehe... He even massaged my leg and feet once we got to my parents' house. It was all puffy and swollen from driving. I have no cruise control. I love him to pieces. He really is my best friend, and I can't wait 'til the day when I can be his wife, too. We had so much fun with my family and in Portland. It was a great last week together.

Homeward Bound...

So about a month ago I decided to randomly apply to another college just for fun. I had been kind of in a rut for a long time as far as progressing in school, and I needed a change. I ended up getting accepted to the College of Southern Idaho, so I'm off!!!! It will be really nice to refocus myself and just get finished already! I am very excited, and am keeping myself super busy with preparations for school. My room is all packed up and ready to go...... It's going to be terribly difficult to leave my Wesley, but I must keep reminding myself that it will be good for me and good for him as well..... no distractions. Hopefully next year we'll finally get to marry one another. I hope. I'll also miss my gramma, and my Anderson family and all of my friends. Oh gosh, I'm getting all weepy and sentimental....... Well, I've got about 3 weeks left in my favorite place in the world. And although its heartbreaking to leave behind my life here, I'm ready for the adventure ahead. Goodbye California, Hello Idaho!!!!

Hello again! Well, to those of you who know me very well, I have another 'Dana moment" for you. I have sliced the bottom of my foot open. Yowchers. I was at school at the time, and was going down a set of metal stairs and I caught my flip-flop on the stair popped out of it and gashed my footsie on a jagged edge of the stair. No big deal, right? Go to the school health offices, right? WRONG. We have one, but due to budget crunches, it has been closed. And yet I still have to pay my health fee every month. Messed up! I didn't want my gramma to freak out, so I went to the best place I knew..... the lovely and helpful Nurse Wesley. After several choice words from me, and much care from him, we got me all patched up. Is that grammatically proper? Oh well. Thank you sweetheart for fixing me. In every way. I do so appreciate the loving care you show me constantly. Forget what the world says. You matter. You are an amazing man and it is my privilege to watch (and hopefully help) you mature and grow. I love you!

Hello again! I decided to blog cuz I can't dance in class today. A classmate and I were messing around yesterday in the studio, and I was trying to do a turn that was WAY too complex for me, and I broke two toes and jammed another. I don't get to dance, and today we're waltzing! sad. =(

Hi y'all! True to form, I fibbed and have not reposted yet. So..... KABAAM!!! Here we go. I thought I'd give you a little overview of myself. Hi! My name is Dana. Cute shirt! I am from Idaho, but I'm going to school in California. I will be moving back in August when I get my associates degree in communications. Yay! I love to hang with my friend and family, playing games and goofin' off. I'm also blessed to be in love with my best friend. I can't imagine being so happy with anyone else. I love him.
